The Joy Gottesman Ungerleider Hostel

The Albright’s residence, comprising a hostel and two apartments, is a great option for academics, researchers, professionals and scholars coming to the region, and is where our fellows are housed each year. You’ll be in a supportive, research-oriented environment with an instant community, including our resident fellows. Our services and facilities allow you to focus on your work and maximize your time. Stay a few nights or an entire semester!

The hostel features three single and four double rooms with in-room sinks and shared bathrooms, and one single and two doubles with en suite bathrooms. Also on the grounds are two family apartments: the Garden Apartment (GA) and the Balcony Apartment (BA), each with two bedrooms and a study. The apartments are a good choice if you have children. For various reasons, infants and children cannot be accommodated in the hostel rooms.

The Albright is a nonsmoking facility.

Half Board: a light self-service breakfast every day, and dinner served six nights per week (Monday through Saturday) by our chef
All utilities and high-speed wireless

24-hour access to the library and JSTOR access

Laundry facilities (self-service)

Please note:

Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is until 12:00 noon. Late check-out can be arranged; rate will depend on departure time.
Dinner is not included on check-out day, and can be added.
Payment can be made upon arrival, either in cash or by credit card through our online payment system. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.

Meals are not included, and can be prepared in the apartment kitchen. It is also possible to add meals; please inquire.
Cleanings are not included, and can be arranged with Housekeeping for 30 USD per cleaning.
