Inclusion
DEI Statement
The W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in its programming and activities. The Albright welcomes and actively promotes the inclusion of all genders, nationalities, racial, ethnic, and religious communities, as well as the differently-abled in its programs.
Through our work in the humanities, we research and preserve the accomplishments of the past so that we may understand the world we live in, and imagine a better future for all. Moreover, as a self-reflective American Institution, we must do our past to remedy the issues of cultural and racial injustice wherever possible.
To that end, the Albright commits itself to the following:
• Actively reaching out to black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) academics, and encouraging their participation in Albright programs, fellowships, research, and collaboration.
• Looking for opportunities to increase engagement with under-represented and traditionally disenfranchised scholars, communities, and stakeholders in the Albright’s mission.
